trying this again

OK... I just got a new computer yesterday so I can do some fun things that I want to do and one of those things is blogging...  I am planning on sharing some of my great recipes. And some fun things that we do as a family....

A couple of weeks ago Mike called and asked is Dad for one of his Elvis excuses... He had to talk in his ward on Fathers Day.  So this is what Dave sent him.

Bishop (fill in the name),

Please excuse my son, Michael Condie from speaking in sacrament meeting today.  He's recently been experiencing what his university professors have come to all "Animators Eyeball".  It's been we'll documented about that his malady is on the rise with the  upswing in the popularity of digital animation.  After prolonged periods of time looking at the digital display and making ridiculous caricatures of the real life objects the orbit of the eye can become restricted and pinched, presenting the illusion of the enlarged eyeball.  And if this is not worrisome enough the nose is also given the illusion of also being enlarged (also known as Animators Proboscis)

This is like the time Elvis was diagnosed with "Plucker's Digit Syndrome".... an enlarged thumb from strumming a guitar for extended periods of time.  He found it hard to get a date with the gigantic thumb, but it made hitchhiking easy work.

So, like Elvis,  Michael will rebound from this unfortunate aliment, just like Elvis did when he filmed the movie " Blue Hawaii" with only a marginally enlarged thumb.  If Elvis can ride a surfboard for all the world to see while recovering from a numb thumb then Michael will be soon be seen at the local church podium delivering the types of discourses Brigham Young would be proud of.

My heart is with you because you now have to tell your first counselor he has to present a 20 minute talk 10 minutes from now.

All my best,
Michael's Dad

Another fun time we had this Month was going to our Grandsons Alex's Baptism.  If was fun to be with him and share this time with him.  Grandpa is also planning on writing Alex a Elvis testimony letter for his Baptism book.
